April 2011 - Legion 65th Celebration

Date Submitted: April 2, 2011

DAKATAMA had the privilege to plan the 65th Anniversary of the Charter for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 194 in Clinton, British Columbia. Our team, along with the volunteers from the Branch provided a day filled with activities.

The afternoon started with Parading of the Colours to the Memorial Hall where the Honors and Awards Ceremony took place recognizing members for their years of service and ending with the presentation of Letters of Recognition by the dignitaries who were present.

From there we moved to the Branch itself where the ground breaking ceremony took place for the handicap ramp followed by activities within the Branch.

The evening took us back to the Memorial Hall for a dinner and dance. The local 4-H Group had been hired to provide the roast beef dinner, the Clinton Lions Club looked after the refreshments for the evening and the music was provided by Whiskey River Band.

It was a pleasure to work with this group and we at DAKATAMA would like to thank them for the opportunity to be involved with their milestone celebration.
